Are you 65 years old or older? You may be eligible for Dual Coverage through Medicare and Medi-Cal!
What is Medicare?
Medicare is the federal health insurance program for people aged 65 years or older, certain younger people with disabilities, and people with End-Stage Renal Disease (permanent kidney failure requiring dialysis or a transplant, sometimes called ESRD).
What is Medi-Cal?
Medi-Cal is a public health insurance program which provides needed health care services for low-income individuals including families with children, adults, seniors, persons with disabilities, foster care, pregnant women, and low-income people with specific diseases such as tuberculosis, breast cancer, or HIV/AIDS. An individual has access to full services for medical, dental, vision and mental health.
What is MediMedi?
MediMedi is also known as “Dual Eligible”. These are individuals who are eligible for both Medi-Cal and for Medicare (all parts of Medicare). Under MediMedi, individuals have access to additional resources and benefits such as meal delivery services, mail in order prescriptions, gym membership, etc. This is additional coverage that is not covered by any other plans.
