What is the Medi-Cal Adult Expansion?

On January 1st, 2024, Medi-Cal has expanded their full scope coverage to undocumented adults between ages 26-49 years old. Regardless of immigration status, an individual is eligible for Medi-Cal as long as they meet the Medi-Cal income guidelines. Applying or using Medi-Cal will not affect your immigration status.

Eligibility

To be eligible you must:

  • Live in California
  • Must be 26 to 49 years of age
  • Meet household income eligibility requirements

Full Scope Medi-Cal Covers:

Doctors Visits, Prescribed medications, Vision Care / eyeglasses, Mental Health Care, Vaccines, Dental Care, Emergency Services, referrals to specialist.
